HES Catering Service is a key business unit within our traded services portfolio, providing daily school meals in 60 schools in the borough. Besides operating commercially to generate income, the Service plays a pivotal role in supporting key outcomes relating to health and wellbeing for children and young people in the borough.

About the Job

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nutritionist to join our experienced Catering Team that provide school meals across London Borough of Havering.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring food provided by the catering service meets dietary requirements and conform to all nutritional and food safety standards and legislation.

Work with the Executive Training & Development Chef and Operations team together with the client to create meals and menus that suit a range of dietary needs.

Work with Suppliers and account managers to ensure all product specifications are up to date.

Deliver various healthy eating initiatives, workshops and training.

Provide advice and guidance to the catering team on latest research, guidelines and legislation relating to nutrition.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate and driven with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish strong rapport with colleagues and clients.

You must have experience in using systems/software to deliver the Nutrition and Allergen data to support menus.

You must be a Registered Nutritionist (UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists)

Experience and understanding of the education services sector, will be advantageous for the successful candidate.
