Hours - 12 hours per week, working hours 3.30pm - 7.30pm alternate weekendsBase - Bridlington HospitalAre you a strong team player, friendly and motivated? Then we may have the role for you!Bridlington Hospital Catering Department requires an enthusiastic Catering Operative to work in all areas of the Catering Department, Main Kitchen and Dining Room.Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to be adaptable and flexible, in order to work variable hours. You must be able to use initiative, be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal and organisational/time management skills.Applicants must be able to work under pressure, prioritise their own workload and be able to carry out physical tasks.Main duties of the jobDuties include, but are not limited to:

  • Serving food and drink to customers in the Dining Room
  • Working on the tills
  • Using ovens to regenerate food
  • Keeping the ward kitchen clean
  • Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP
  • Washing up and other general cleaning duties.
  • The role also involves working in cold rooms to pick patient food
  • Also working in pot wash.
The ideal candidate will have catering experience, be fantastic with customers, a good team player and able to work on their own unsupervised.
