Homerton College are looking to recruit a Catering Supervisor to join our Front of House team to support the Senior Supervisors and Catering Manager in ensuring that all shifts are efficiently run and that dinners and conference events are managed to the highest professional standards, ensuring that appropriate training, and supervision is implemented, cleaning schedules are adhered to, and dinners, events and functions are set up in a timely manner.
The Catering Supervisor will lead by example, ensuring high standards of customer service, hygiene and safety are maintained at all times. The ideal candidate will demonstrate their ability to consistently lead, manage and motivate in a positive, respectful and professional manner.
As a Catering Supervisor you will have demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced, professional catering environment at a supervisory level. Experience of working within a similar College environment would be highly advantageous.
Although no formal qualifications are required, knowledge of working in a catering environment is essential as well as knowledge or the ability to learn and apply Food Hygiene guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for excellent service, care and attention. Given the varied community at Homerton College, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key. Some flexibility is required to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
