We are looking for a Catering Supervisor to join our small team in our London style sandwich bar and events company.
The Catering Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the shop , overseeing food preparation and service delivery. This position requires a blend of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to exceptional hospitality. The Catering Supervisor will manage a small team, ensuring adherence to food safety standards while creating memorable experiences for guests.
Duties
Supervise daily catering operations, including food preparation and service.
Lead and manage a team of catering staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of service.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality and presentation meet established standards.
Train staff in food safety practices and proper cooking techniques.
Collaborate with the owner to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and serving areas.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the catering environment.
Foster a positive team atmosphere that encourages collaboration and high performance.
Create rotas, export shifts and payroll data.
Taking and managing incoming email enquiries and bookings.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the catering or hospitality industry.
Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience as a barista is an advantage but not essential.
A passion for food production and commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 13.30-14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
