Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the catering team to ensure efficient operations. Oversee food preparation and production, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and client preferences. Train, mentor, and manage team members to enhance their skills in food preparation and service. Collaborate with event planners to ensure all catering requirements are met for various events. Maintain inventory levels of kitchen supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during events. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and catering areas at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and suppliers. A passion for food production and an eagerness to help others succeed within the team.
