In-Unit Catering Supervisor/Team Leader

, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one of our catering units. You will lead a team of dedicated catering staff, ensuring food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards are consistently met. Your role will be hands-on, and you will work closely with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver an outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

: Supervise, motivate, and manage a team of catering staff, ensuring they are trained, developed, and performing to the highest standards.

Operational Management

: Oversee daily catering operations, including food preparation, service, stock control, and ensuring that all safety and hygiene standards are adhered to.

Customer Service

: Ensure excellent service delivery, addressing customer needs and feedback promptly, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Quality Control

: Monitor and maintain food quality standards, portion control, and cleanliness within the unit.

Health & Safety Compliance

: Enforce food safety regulations, ensure cleanliness standards are met, and maintain a safe working environment for all staff.

Inventory & Stock Management

: Oversee ordering, stock rotation, and stocktaking to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.

Training & Development

: Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new and existing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Key Requirements:

Proven experience in a catering or food service management role (ideally 2+ years). Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills with a focus on detail and quality. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (Food Safety Level 2 certification or equivalent is a plus). Ability to adapt to changing environments and demands. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
