Gurt wings is a multi-award winning fried chicken street food company, based in the South West of England. Founded by James, a chicken wing and buffalo sauce fanatic. A brand best known for succulent wings, strips, chicken salt tater tots and over 16 handmade sauce recipes. With 3 Trucks and 2 fixed locations, Gurt Wings has grown significantly in the past year. They opened their first flagship restaurant in February 2025 on the busy site of Wapping Wharf, Bristol, which has exceeded expectations and has become a popular hub for many. We're looking for someone who is familiar with the brand, energetic and has a drive to provide a high standard of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):



Manage and motivate a food truck catering team daily, fostering a positive, can-do attitude. Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to senior management. Lead and coordinate the team during high-demand service periods to ensure timely, high-quality food delivery. Oversee and participate in food preparation, maintaining consistent quality across all dishes. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, including NCASS checklists and reporting. Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the truck. Deliver excellent customer service--engage confidently, promote specials, and encourage upselling. Train and develop staff to ensure strong product knowledge and outstanding service. Monitor and manage stock and inventory levels for efficient operations. Drive food trucks to and from markets, events, and other assigned locations. Be flexible and hands-on, supporting all aspects of daily operations as needed.

Requirements:



Proven experience in catering, food preparation, and fast-paced hospitality environments. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership: calm under pressure, motivational, and team-focused. High energy with the ability to lead, inspire, and develop a proactive team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-focused with a passion for delivering top-tier service. Hands-on, flexible, and willing to support all aspects of operations. Organised, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards of cleanliness. Team player who thrives under pressure and works well independently. Interest in street food and a love for fried chicken.

Essential:



Available to work weekends and public holidays. A clean UK Category B (Car) Driving Licence is essential for this role. Our food trucks can be operated with a standard car licence. Applicants must be 25 years or older due to vehicle insurance requirements.

Pay: 35,000.00-37,000.00 per year
