As a Play Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children. Your primary responsibility will be to support the development and well-being of children through play and educational activities. This position requires a passion for working with children and the ability to foster their social, emotional, and physical growth.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play. Encourage positive social interactions among children, helping them develop essential communication skills. Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the children's best interests. Support children with special needs or additional requirements, adapting activities as necessary to ensure inclusion.

Skills

Strong management and leadership abilities to guide children effectively. Experience working with children in various settings such as nurseries or childcare facilities is essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles to support developmental milestones. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children if required for outings or activities. A nurturing attitude combined with patience and creativity to inspire children's imaginations during playtime. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about child development and eager to make a positive impact on young lives through engaging play experiences.
