Job Description

Role: 1-2 Days a Week

Job Purpose:



To provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) assessment and therapy to young people.

To provide advice, consultation and supervision as required to other professionals within

Park Lodge and to participate in ongoing service developments lead by the Senior

Psychologist.

Duties and Responsibilities;



Clinical

1. Responsible for delivering evidence-based CBT interventions to individuals with

complex and enduring mental health needs, including trauma-related difficulties as

well as neurodevelopmental conditions.

2. Responsible for offering clinical input and consultation to the wider

multidisciplinary team (MDT), contributing to team discussions and care planning.

3. Engagement in service development, audit, and reflective practice alongside the

wider therapy and mental health teams.

Arcadia Care Ltd. 24. To work closely with the Senior Psychologist and communicate in a skilled and

sensitive manner, information concerning the assessment, formulation, and

treatment plans to service users and their multidisciplinary professional team.

5. To carry out the assessment, formulation and treatment planning for young people

referred to Park Lodge.

6. To provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to young people.

7. To attend relevant meetings in relation to service user group and to give advice on

referrals appropriate for CBT.

8. To communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the

assessment, formulation, and treatment plans to service users and their

multidisciplinary professional team.

9. To undertake risk assessment and risk management of service users.

Professional Development



1. Participate and receive in regular meaningful supervision to support their practice.

2. To undertake relevant activities to meet training objectives as identified jointly with

the Senior Psychologist.

3. Assist in developing and delivering training to other staff groups alongside the

Senior Psychologist.

4. To engage in any training required for Continuing Professional Development as

discussed with the Senior Psychologist.

Professional / Experience



1. The candidate must have a relevant undergraduate degree and/or a recognised

professional qualification with current registration with the appropriate

professional body. A Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from

an accredited training provider. Registration as a CBT therapist with BABCP.

2. Experience working with complex mental health conditions with an ability to

demonstrate key therapeutic competencies.

Communication



1. To respect confidentiality and sensitivity of patient information and follow relevant

guidelines in disclosing information

3. To maintain accurate, up-to-date and appropriate clinical records and statistical

information, as required.

4. To gain consent and build a collaborative relationship with patients that will

promote engagement in the therapeutic process.

5. Demonstrate respect for other members of the team.

Service Development and Delivery



1. Understand and carry out responsibilities by adherence to the guidelines laid down

in Health and Safety Act (1974) and Trust Health and Safety policy manual.

2. To ensure that all areas are well maintained and comply with Health and Safety

guidelines, ensuring the safe use of equipment and storage of materials.

3. Report to senior staff on all matters relating to Health and Safety Issues.

Safeguarding



Appointments to regulated and controlled activities require an enhanced DBS

disclosure.

Engagement with safeguarding training and familiarity of policies and procedures, in

line with responsibilities, is mandatory for all Arcadia's employees. It is the

General



Arcadia Care Ltd. 4The post holder will have access to a wide range of confidential information relating

to patients, staff and the company which must not be divulged to any unauthorised

person in any circumstances. The role will work flexibly within the team split

between the duties of senior support worker and assistant psychologist to meet

service needs. The split of duties will be reviewed regularly to ensure balance is

maintained.

This role description may be subject to amendment to take account of

changing circumstances, but such amendments will only be made following

consultation between the post-holder and the occupational therapist in

consultation with the hospital director.

The post-holder will be expected to be flexible and adaptable to meet service

needs.

Pay: From 52,000.00 per year
