Job Description

We are currently seeking a CCTV Operator to work in our control room in Bury St Edmunds operating CCTV cameras for nine local towns as well as monitoring alarms, body cameras, radios and the council\'s out of hours call service. The role will provide a reactive and proactive CCTV monitoring service to assist with the council\'s commitment to the reduction of crime and disorder. You will be required to operate the equipment and cameras as well as complying with relevant legislation the CCTV code of practice and all operational control room procedures.


The successful candidate will ideally be CCTV SIA licenced and have experience of working in a busy control room. However full training will be provided. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team on a four on, four off shift pattern, covering days, evenings and weekends.
