The Voyage of Buck on beautiful William Street in the West End is seeking a CDP. The area is a bit of a food hub and is an exciting and energetic place to work

The menu includes higher end small plates and larger dishes which are prepared in house from raw ingredients, using local and respected suppliers. The kitchen is much respected in the city and the menu pairs fine dining with approachable small plates style. Beautiful presentation is key and a knowledge of pairing ingredients to make modern and original daily specials

Applicants should have an excellent command of English, have an energetic personality, have experience leading a team, menu creation and design, successful stock control and have experience cooking to order where nothing is pre-packaged

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.

Proven experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting, ideally as a cook or within a culinary role. Excellent food preparation skills with attention to detail in meal presentation. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and cuisines.
