We are seeking a dedicated and passionate CDP Sushi to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi and other Japanese dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The CDP Sushi will work closely with our head chefs to ensure that all dishes meet our quality specifications and presentation standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including slicing fish, preparing rice, and assembling sushi rolls.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations.
Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are followed to minimise waste.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and uphold high standards of food quality.
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, preferably within a restaurant or catering environment specialising in Japanese cuisine.
Knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food safety protocols.
Previous experience working in a kitchen setting or restaurant is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of sushi making techniques and culinary skills related to Japanese dishes.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
