Quest Global is seeking a Compliance, Certification and Approvals engineer is responsible for ensuring that all products meet applicable regulatory, Safety, and environmental standards required for CE marking and other international certifications. This role involves managing product compliance throughout the design, development, and product lifecycle, ensuring adherence to EU Directives, harmonized standards, and global regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities



Product and market specific standards.

Lead the CE marking process for new and existing products, including conformity assessment, technical documentation, and declaration of conformity preparation Interpret and apply relevant EU & UK Directives (e.g. Machinery Directive, Marine Equipment Directive, RoHS, Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive, RED etc) and harmonised standards Conduct product risk assessments and support design teams in implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance Coordinate and manage third-party testing and certification with Notified Bodies, accredited laboratories and regulatory agencies Develop, maintain and review technical files and other compliance documentation Support global market approval including UL, FCC CSA UKCA and other regional certification as required Liaise with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure compliance is embedded throughout the product lifecycle Monitor regulatory updates and changes in international standards, communicating their impact to stakeholders Provide compliance training and guidance to cross-functional teams Support internal and external audits related to product compliance and certification Ensure compliance documentation is accurate, complete and audit ready Monitor legislative and standards changes affecting product compliance Drive continuous improvement in compliance and certification processes

Work Experience



Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, electronics, or related engineering discipline 3-7 years of experience in product compliance, certification, or approvals engineering within a manufacturing or technology environment Strong Working knowledge of CE marking process, EU directive, and conformity assessment procedures Experience with compliance testing, documentation control and liaison with notified bodies or certification agencies Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, 17025,14001), Lloyds register of shipping/naval rules, def stan, IMO MARPOL, NA:2008 MOD, ANEP 77:2014, BS EN ISO 9001:1994, BS EN 60529:1992 and product safety standards (EN, IEC, UL) Desirable - experience with marine, defence or industrial equipment certification Excellent project management, documentation, analytical and communication skills Attention to detail and the ability to interpret regulatory texts and standards Ability to manage multiple projects and meet certification deadlines * Ability to communicate with and manage multiple stakeholders to support complication of evidence and issues resolution
