A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONFERENCE OFFICE MANAGER IN OUR HOTEL
What You'll Be Doing
We are looking for an experienced Conference & Events Office Manager to have overall departmental responsibility for all C& E enquiries and client relationships.
You and your Co Ordinator's will be responsible for dealing with all incoming conference & event enquiries; show arounds; contracting; administration and managing client relationships including corporate as well as agency.
Ideal candidates should have strong experience in a similar position, ideally in a full-service hotel, and have sound administrative, communication and computing skills.
Previous experience in Opera and Sales & Catering will be a definite advantage.
You should have an outgoing personality and attention to detail.
Check previous day bookings and assign appropriately.
Check outstanding activities.
Manage function diary.
Collate function sheets and quality check.
Issue function sheets to hotel team.
Attend function sheet meeting.
Team Rota.
Manage conversion & coordination of top bookings (over 40k)
Check office daily task list is completed each day.
What We Need from You:
The employee should be a positive, pro-active, outgoing, and energetic individual with a "can do" attitude.
They must have a proven track record in converting Wedding, Conference and Event enquires to confirmed sales.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Wedding, Conference and Events or Sales Management role is required.
An in-depth knowledge of Opera PMS and S&C is essential.
The candidate must have strong organisational and communication skills with a pride in the attention to detail they take in their work.
We are looking for highly motivated person with good business acumen and an eye for an opportunity and detail.
