Job Overview
We are seeking a C.E. Tar Operative to join our Civils Department. The ideal candidate will undertake general civil engineering labouring work, transport and operate tar related equipment (including towed hot box trailer) and carry out tar related operational tasks as required.
Responsibilities
General civil engineering labour activities including road works, drainage, slab and kerb laying, cable-pulling, concrete works, hand digging etc. Transporting and operating the tar box. Keeping any assigned vehicle, equipment, plant or machinery in clean and well-maintained condition and undertake all required routine checks on them. Operate designated vehicle, plant, machinery and equipment in keeping with the standard operating procedure for each item. Do not use any plant, machinery or equipment unless operator training and certification is current. Report any faults/breakages/issues with vehicle, plant, machinery or equipment to line manager straight away. Maintain records relating to vehicle, plant, machinery and equipment as required.
Qualifications
Essential
:UK Driving licence - preferably clean. Spill kit training Manual handling training
Desirable
:First Aid CSCS H&S Test Operative CPCS/NPORS qualification for designated plant HGV licence
