Overall job purpose
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the leadership, management, and direction within the Cefnogaeth Meddwl Mon Service. This is the adult mental health support service provision. They will ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, policy, guidance and accepted good practice.
The post holder will achieve objectives through effective co-working with the Senior Management Team and will also be responsible professionally for front line practitioners. The post holder will work closely with, and be an active member of the management team in the development of a quality service that safeguards and improves the mental wellbeing of adults on Ynys Mon. The post holder will seek to develop and maintain effective relationships with BCUHB Community Mental Health Service (CMHT), ensuring a seamless service for citizens needing mental
health support.
This service consists of 3 service areas:
Social Inclusion Team
Care & Support Service
Housing Related Grant - supported accommodation
The post holder will lead and develop alongside the Service Manager, in relation to strategic matters that relate to the Mental Health and Learning Disability service areas; and have devolved responsibilities for the management of the budget within their service area.
They will be responsible for strategic developments in preventive and early intervention services for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities service areas, as well as coordinating and managing staff and plans. In doing so, it will be necessary to ensure that high-quality and appropriate provision is in place to meet local needs and ensure the best possible outcomes for service users.
