Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of systems and equipment across domestic, commercial and industrial sites. This role requires technical proficiency, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. The Installer will play a vital role in supporting project delivery and maintaining client satisfaction. We have a significant number of Air and water source heat pump installations over the next 18 months. You ideally will be given a 1st year apprentice to train and work along side you and the current installation team.

Duties

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine installation requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, and other specialised tools to assemble, install, and secure components. Perform plumbing tasks including connecting pipes, fittings, and fixtures as required for each project. Conduct mechanical adjustments and ensure all installations meet safety standards and quality expectations. Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely, adhering to health and safety regulations. Utilise carpentry skills for framing or structural modifications when necessary. Apply basic maths skills to measure, cut, and align components accurately. Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or equipment to job sites when required. Assist in troubleshooting installation issues on-site and make necessary adjustments or repairs. Maintain a clean work environment during and after completion of each project.

Skills

Proficiency in welding techniques with the ability to handle various welding equipment safely. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes. Knowledge of plumbing systems including pipe fitting and fixture installation. Mechanical knowledge relevant to system setup and troubleshooting. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely with proper technique. Competence in carpentry tasks related to structural modifications or framing work. Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations. Experience with commercial driving including safe operation of lorries or vans for transporting materials. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail during installation procedures. Candidates should possess relevant technical experience or qualifications related to the above skills, alongside a proactive attitude towards safety protocols and teamwork.
