Where you'll work:
Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person.
You'll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

This role in a nutshell:
The Central Planning Manager will be responsible for developing standardisation for COO estate, operational build and management of Supply & Demand plans across functional areas. Supported by Planning Analysts, the Planning Manager will ensure delivery of robust end to end planning solutions from 15 minutes through to long range projections, that will enable the successful delivery of OVOs business objectives . With responsibility for delivering solutions that protect operational service levels, managing against agreed budget envelopes auditing & monitoring any variance drivers in order to react and plan accordingly.
Your key outcomes will be:

• Assess and improve supply & demand planning models that deliver targeted business outcomes
• Deliver budget outlooks, along with monthly re-forecasting with robust audit tracking in place for all variances to the plan
• Hold responsibility for driving forward resourcing solutions, through ownership of recruitment plans and supplier locks to meet the project capacity needs
• Ensure that all monthly forecasts are delivered on time in line with key internal customers' timelines in line with the OVO Planning Cycle
• Work with operational colleagues to capture all relevant inputs to optimise the plan and deliver against all commitments.
• Work with operational colleagues to understand and be able to "walk down" variances to previous budgets and forecasts., presented monthly
• Work with operational colleagues to ensure that risks are clearly understood and mitigated where appropriate

You'll be a successful Central Planning Manager at OVO if you...

• Experience in leading and developing multi-site, matrix teams
• Experience in line management, mentoring and coaching to develop colleagues / teams
• Energy sector knowledge (desirable)
• Formal training and certifications in business analysis, such as BCS or equivalent (desirable)

We'll pay you between 48K and 52K, depending on your specific skills and experience.
We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.
You'll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
