We are looking to source a Centre of Excellence Finance Leader, based in Aberdeen, the Centre of Excellence Finance Leader will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of global Finance and Payroll processes for their region within the scope of the Centre of Excellence. Reporting to the VP Finance Operations and Global Process Owner, the role involves managing a team of Finance professionals through Team Leaders, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the global CoE processes delivered, while identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities.
Working closely with other regional Centre of Excellence and Finance Operational Leads, the role holder will ensure that internal and external customers and stakeholders are being appropriately serviced and engaged. The role holder will work closely with other regional Centre of Excellence leads to effectively deliver agreed global processes. This role requires an experienced people leader to manage and develop Finance professionals, and will be the custodian, role model and guardian of the Acteon culture and values, ensuring appropriate behaviours are demonstrated and developed at all levels.
Duties & Main Responsibilities
- Deliver agreed global processes in scope through the Centre of Excellence organisation, including General Ledger, Intercompany, Tax & VAT, Month End Close, Accounts Receivable & Collections, Accounts Payable & Expenses, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations and Audit support.
- Serve as the point of escalation for stakeholders and customers of processes, collect and analyse performance metrics, ensure adequate resourcing globally and highlight training and development needs across the organisation as appropriate.
- Support the development of strategic plans for expanding the scope of Centre of Excellence for Finance/Accounting/Payroll activities
- Ensure that CoE processes are documented, reviewed, and global process improvement/alignment opportunities are identified and brought to the attention of the Global Process Owner. Maintain process documentation and utilise performance measurement tools to increase the efficiency of process delivery.
- Maintain regular update sessions with key stakeholders, review, and action opportunities with COE leadership to increase satisfaction with services provided.
- Define expectations of Team Leader and Team Member roles, resource and manage the delivery of agreed global processes, manage performance as required, and ensure that training and career development opportunities and needs are identified and managed.
- Provide motivational leadership to drive a culture of effective teamworking within the Centre of Excellence to ensure a collaborative and supportive organisation.
- Identify and nurture talent and continuously look for opportunities to increase engagement and role satisfaction.
- Empower, coach, and enable Team Leads to take full responsibility for the leadership and management of their function, developing leaders of the future.
- Infrequent travel to other Acteon worksites will be required.
Required
Qualifications/Experience
- Extensive experience gained in managing process delivery-oriented Finance teams/Finance Shared Services/GBS operations
- Professional Qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Experience in utilising financial tools and applications (Excel, ERP systems etc)
- Previous international exposure
- Industry experience is desirable
