Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a CFS Social Worker within the First Response Team in Leicestershire. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding children and families, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to assess and respond to urgent situations. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare of vulnerable children and their families, providing immediate support and intervention where needed.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in crisis situations.
Developing and implementing effective intervention plans to promote safety and well-being.
Collaborating with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and educational institutions to ensure a comprehensive response.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.
Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access necessary resources and services.

To be considered for this position, you must possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
Registration with Social Work England.
Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
