Redler Limited is currently seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our Operations team as a
Chain Cell Preparation Technician
. Based at our factory in Stonehouse, near Stroud, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick-start a career in an engineering environment.
The Chain Assembly Technician is a key role within the Chain Cell team and responsible for assembling a variety of fabricated chains to correct configurations that are used in mechanical conveying systems.
You will work closely with the Chain Cell supervisor and team to meet production goals, maintain high-quality standards, and adhere to safe systems of work.
Key Responsibilities:
Chain Assembly:
Prepare steel chain flights using a mechanical bandsaw and hydraulic punch. Assemble chains to the correct configurations according to BOMS, specifications and operational instructions.
Use hand tools and equipment to assemble components into finished chains.
Teamwork:
Work collaboratively with other team members to reduce bottlenecks and maintain the flow of production, ensuring daily targets on time delivery are met.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow safe systems of work and guidelines and always use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Comply with workplace safety regulations and report any safety hazards or issues immediately.
Experience:
Previous experience in production cell preferably with similar mechanical Cell work.
Familiarity with safety procedures and industry standards in manufacturing environments.
Skills:
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and machines.
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Ability to read basic engineering drawings, instructions and SOPs
Physical Requirements:
The role requires a reasonable level of upper body strength to assemble the chains together on the bench (The final Assembled parts will be lifted using a crane)
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
