We are seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals in need. If you have a passion for helping others and making a positive impact on people's lives, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and assistance with daily living activities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Engage in activities that promote physical and mental well-being
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour
- Assist with household tasks and meal preparation
- Deescalate behaviours according to care plan
Qualifications
- Experience in home care, support work, assisted living, and learning difficulties is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is beneficial
Candidates must have a
minimum
of 6 months experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
As well as the normal compliance requirements as a carer, you must have proof of:
National Insurance Number
Right to Work in UK
Proof of address
Be willing to undergo a DBS check (enhanced)
Proof of relevant training undertaken
2 references (last employer and character)
You must be willing to undertake any training required and show commitment to your role as a carer and advocate for vulnerable individuals. Working in homecare requires individuals to be of good character that will respect the environment they are working in and consider a whole families needs and wishes.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 48 per week
