We have a rare opportunity to become the manager of the prestigious Lymington Chandlery - Nick Cox (Part of the YouBoat group).

Overall

You need to be extremely customer focused, deliver excellent customer service and maximise retail sales.

You are responsible for the performance of a small team and the day-to-day operations of the store.

In addition, you are responsible for the Staff Welfare and onsite Health & Safety.

What You'll Do

Manage and motivate your team to increase sales and provide a high level of customer care. Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring adequate staff cover whilst controlling expenditure on wages. Work with the purchasing department to manage stock. Be responsible for the financial performance of the store, maximising profitability and reducing costs. Be responsible for your team, dealing with HR issues, such as conducting interviews, managing individual performance, providing training and discipline as required. Ensure standards for quality and health and safety are met. Resolve health and safety, legal and security issues at a local level. Respond to customer complaints and comments. Organise special promotions, displays and events. Be responsible for banking of monies and cashing up. Be responsible for product displays, keeping shelves merchandised to a high standard and topped up with stock. Support the overall team in events eg; Staffing Boatshows. Liaise with the Sales and Marketing team to exploit local opportunities.
