The Hiscox UK Change Team is the bridge between the business and the technology teams, ensuring that technology change is prioritised, defined, broken down and delivered in a way that enables the business to achieve its strategic goals, whilst also enabling the technology strategy. The Role
The Change Manager is responsible for managing specific change initiatives within Hiscox. This role involves working closely with project teams and value streams to ensure that change efforts are successfully implemented and adopted.
Key Responsibilities:Change Management - Oversee and manage change initiatives of varying complexity and risk, ensuring the adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working across the organisation.
Stakeholder Mapping & Persona Development - Identify and analyse impacted stakeholders to tailor engagement strategies effectively.
Change Impact Assessment - Collaborate with project teams, SMEs, and end users to assess change impacts and define engagement requirements.
Business Readiness - Monitor, track, and report on business readiness activities and adoption progress in project governance forums.
Communications Strategy - Develop and work with the comms and engagement manager to execute comprehensive communication plans to ensure stakeholders are well-informed, engaged, and aligned with organisational changes.
Stakeholder Engagement - Deliver excellent stakeholder service, maintain effective communication, demonstrate professionalism, and commit to exceeding expectations. Build and sustain strong relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Problem Solving - Apply effective problem-solving techniques to simplify complex information, creating actionable insights and strategies for organisational change.
External Insight - Participate in communities of practice with Change Management and Communication professionals in the wider team to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative approaches.
Strategic Execution - Ensure all change management and communication activities are aligned with the organisation's strategic goals and objectives and oversee their successful implementation.
Required Skills & Experience:Experience designing actionable change plans and aligning them with team dynamics and organisational priorities.
Experience managing change management and engagement activities to ensure successful implementation of change initiatives.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship-building and tailoring engagement strategies to meet their needs and expectations.
Ability to pivot and adjust in response to changing priorities.
Apply effective problem-solving techniques to simplify complex information, creating actionable insights and strategies for change management.
Ability to use data and insights to refine change strategies and measure success.
Ability to balance business value, customer needs, and technical considerations in decision-making.
Background in Insurance or another highly regulated or complex industry (e.g., finance, gov & health etc.).
