Group Technology Overview

Group Technology (GT) is a central technology function sitting within Informa\'s Global Support division. It manages, supports and delivers technology services for all Informa divisions. Responsibilities include Architecture, Product Platform Delivery, Programme and project delivery, Infrastructure, Application support and development, Security Operations and Service Management.

Under a new Group Technology leadership team, we are looking to improve maturity across all technical capabilities to help grow and thrive into the future. At the heart of that goal is the need to embark on a transformational journey to deliver a step change across our systems, culture and ways of working to support the strategic aspirations of the Group - as we pivot from being a predominantly face to face business and leverage the strength of our brands in an omnichannel and digital environment.

As such, Group Technology is embarking on a clear roadmap for the modernisation of legacy services whilst developing new platforms, solutions and techniques that transform the department into an enabler of reliable, scalable and secure services that support Informa\'s digital agenda and diverse customer landscape.



As part of a widescale technology operating model transformation programme, a new Technology Strategy & Change Group is being formed with the purpose of helping to accelerate Informa\'s growth and transformation ambitions through the enablement of faster, better change delivery. This Group will encompass Technology Change (including demand, planning, governance, reporting and change excellence), Enterprise Architecture and the M&A technology portfolio. To successfully deliver on its\' purpose, sizeable change is expected across all aspects of the operating model including roles and responsibilities, processes and ways of working, data and tooling. Changes will impact direct team members together with a wide and varied set of stakeholders spanning internal customers, corporate strategy and finance teams and internal/external delivery teams.

Working within the Technology Change team, the Change Manager\'s primary function is to empower colleagues to embrace the changes introduced through this operating model change, driving adoption of the processes, tools, role changes and ways of working. As the model embeds, the Change Manager will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of technology-enabled change projects.

Key Areas of Responsibility/Accountability

  • Develop Change Management Strategies: lead the design and delivery of the end-to-end change management strategy for this operating model change programme, to drive behavioural change and embed new roles and ways of working, processes and tools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and analyse key stakeholders impacted by the change, and create tailored engagement plans to address their concerns, expectations, and communication needs.
  • Change Impact Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to understand the impact of the change on various departments, teams, and individuals. Use findings to inform change management approaches.
  • Communication Planning: Design and implement effective communication plans to ensure clear, consistent, and timely messaging about the change, its rationale, and its benefits. Create a persuasive case for change, producing communication and engagement materials and owning communications to stakeholders. Ensure all materials are designed and produced in a timely manner and align to wider messages.
  • Work with the Communications team to leverage and provide content for existing comms channels, and events (e.g. Bulletins, Intranet, Town Halls). Establish an internal Hub containing all key information on the Technology Change, Enterprise Architecture and M&A Teams, evolving this to include process, roles, contacts and ways of working guidance.
  • Change Readiness: Evaluate the organisation\'s readiness for change, identifying potential obstacles and areas requiring additional support or training
  • Training and Development: Identify education and training requirements to equip employees with the skills and knowledge needed to adapt to the change effectively. Work closely with the Learning & Development Team to develop suitable solutions. Coordinate and deliver training programs.
  • Resistance Management: Proactively identify and address sources of resistance to change, implementing strategies to overcome barriers and foster a positive change experience.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously monitor change progress, gather feedback, and measure the effectiveness of change management efforts. Make data-driven adjustments as necessary.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the change process and develop risk mitigation plans to ensure a smooth transition
  • Leadership Support: Provide guidance and support to team leaders throughout the change process, enabling them to effectively lead their teams through transformation
  • Organisational Culture: Promote a culture of change readiness and adaptability, fostering a supportive environment for ongoing transformation
  • Sustaining Change: Ensure that change efforts lead to lasting, positive outcomes, and work to embed changes into the organisation\'s culture
  • Leverage appropriate change management methodology, process, and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required, whilst working in a highly federated, complex and international business.
Qualifications
  • Change Management accreditation or evidence of ongoing skills development in change management desired (e.g. APMG, Prosci).
  • Familiarity with project management approaches tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience of successfully delivering change in an international, complex business.
  • and applying change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of IT enabled business change; experience of rolling out project governance/gating processes and/or project tooling would be an advantage.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills - well versed in communicating, presenting, and reporting to senior stakeholders. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to show empathy, listen actively and express ideas and facts in a clear and confident manner
  • Ability to influence without authority and report, present, manage meetings and facilitate effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, and ability to influence others to move towards a common vision or goal.
  • Data-driven decision-making approach with evidence of use of clear insights and compelling data sets.
