Job Description


This role will allow you to Lead improvement projects on development of new business models, operating processes and workforce design, assessing business impact of change and create robust business case for change. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who is keen on managing change within a large organisation.

Salary: Band 10, \xc2\xa342,582 - \xc2\xa346,437 (Increasing to \xc2\xa342,942 \xe2\x80\x93 46,830\xc2\xa3 from September 2023, following a transitional pay award period)

Location: Remote with Forth Banks Base

Hours/Contract: Full time, Permanent

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do
  • Lead on the planning and management of force business activity analysis, combining business intelligence with consultation, best practice and emerging technology to identify improvements in force effectiveness and efficiency
  • Undertake process reviews and facilitate key meetings and improvement workshops to map and critically evaluate services, processes and the application of technology to improve service delivery and data quality
  • Use data analysis skills and data modelling practices to analyse findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes
  • Engage with internal and external leaders, stakeholders, subject experts and the workforce to understand structure, policies, operational processes and future capability requirements to shape development of effective solutions
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery across the full lifecycle, from business case, through initiation and implementation to benefits realisation, ensuring the project delivers to time, cost and quality tolerances, standards and reporting requirements
  • Design implementation plans to encourage workforce engagement, manage change and deliver sustainable improvement
  • Identify, manage and resolve risks, track and manage costs and benefits, provide reports as required, and ensure all outputs meet project requirements
  • Lead, develop and co-ordinate stakeholder communications and key messages for projects, to prepare the organisation for change, inform of progress and celebrate successes
  • Line manage and co-ordinate Assistant Project Manager activity ensuring that improvement projects and workforce changes are fully supported, planned and managed

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring
  • Prince 2 or equivalent 3 years project management experience working in an established programme and project management environment
  • Significant experience of project planning and delivery, including monitoring and evaluation, and working to targets
  • Demonstrable experience of identifying and managing project interdependencies and implications that cross service boundaries
  • Experience planning and negotiating for project resources
  • Demonstrable experience of leading / designing and modifying processes or systems to deliver improvements
  • Strong Analytical Skill with the ability to collect, organize and analyse large amounts of data with accuracy
  • Experience managing project team resources (e.g. Assistant Project Managers) Management of diverse skillset within project team to achieve project goals
  • Excellent influencing skills and an ability to foster and maintain successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Knowledge and experience of how to secure strategic influence and successful business negotiation to achieve required outcomes
  • Change management qualification Business Analysis qualification Managing Successful Programmes Degree level qualification
