The chaperone will be required to be present with the Radiographer/Sonographer during all scans. The person should be of mature and responsible character. They must be able to communicate well, and be able to put the patient at ease and make them feel comfortable during scanning. They must be extremely polite, respectful and well spoken. The chaperone should be articulate, tactful and sensitive to pregnant clients as well as their guests.
The chaperone will also be responsible for general practice duties. The chaperone should be able to operate simple computer procedures. Training will be provided. General cleaning and housekeeping is also part of the duties.
They must be well-dressed, hygienic and presentable. Applicants with DBS will be given preference, or should be willing to apply for one. Numbers of hours will vary from 16-30 hours per week. The clinic opening hours are: Mondays 4pm-9pm, Tuesdays 11am-5pm, Thursdays 5pm-10pm, Fridays 9am-3pm, Saturdays 8am-7pm and Sundays 9am-4pm.
