A school in Sittingbourne is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Character Education / PSHE teacher to join their team from November 2025.
The role involves teaching Character Education / PSHE for students in Y7 - Y11. Candidates who are able and motivated to teach A-Level students will be supported with training and mentoring to develop in this area. Applications are welcomed from qualified teachers, unqualified teachers, or graduates interested in gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
The PSHE / Humanities department is well established and staffed by experienced subject specialists and support personnel dedicated to intervention and enrichment. The curriculum is engaging and well-structured, and students are typically motivated, responsive, and enthusiastic about their learning. The role offers a varied timetable, providing an opportunity to demonstrate a broad range of teaching techniques, with a strong emphasis on the use of technology, effective classroom resources, and differentiated approaches to support mixed-ability classes.

In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

• Sufficient subject knowledge to teach PSHE at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• Good classroom management rooted in thoughtful lesson planning and delivery
• Effective differentiation techniques to tackle mixed ability classes
• Innovative teaching style utilising a range of tools and media
• Teamwork skills making you a valuable member of the teaching family
