Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join a brand new and exciting Bangor-based entertainment business! The Character Co. makes wishes come true with our famous and well loved mascots - from Stitch to Buzz Lightyear, Minnie Mouse to Peppa Pig, we have a growing collection of everyone's favourites including classic and current trending characters. This position requires a flair for performance, a passion for working around children and the ability to entertain a diverse audience while promoting our mission. We are all about bringing smiles to everyone so the ideal candidate will embody the spirit of our brand, engaging with audiences of all ages at various events and parties and ultimately delivering FUN!

Please note: Hours are not fixed and this is a self-employed position

Responsibilities

Perform as the mascot at public events, charity fundraisers and private parties. Engage with the audience through movement, acting out the characters iconic gestures and poses along to theme music. Greet the audience with waves, hugs and high-5's. Pose for photos. Communicate professionally with event organisers and other team members. Maintain a positive and friendly presence while wearing the mascot costume. Uphold the brand image by adhering to guidelines regarding character portrayal. Follow policies surrounding health and safety and working with children and vulnerable adults.

Requirements

Previous experience in performing arts or entertainment is preferred. Previous experience working with children is preferred. Previous experience working with vulnerable adults is a plus. Full training will be given. DBS check required before starting. A friendly and approachable personality that resonates well with children and adults alike. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.

Pay: 25.00 per hour
