Overview

We are looking to recruit a Charge Nurse to join the team in a private hospital.

Based in picturesque South Wales, This private Hospital is a 20-bedded low secure mental health facility, offering high quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services for males with complex mental health needs, serious mental illnesses including treatment-resistant presentations, and behaviour that may challenge.

Job Role

Provide specialist clinical knowledge, expertise and support to the nursing team and wider MDT. Have oversight of the clinical and care needs of all service users, supporting the primary nurses in working with patients, their families, community teams and other stakeholders in meeting the individual needs of each person. Ensure that proactive clinical risk assessment and management are at the centre of planning care and interventions with service users and colleagues Constructively reviewing and challenging nursing practice in the service, leading by example, and providing expert knowledge to the nursing and wider MDT on a speciality or individual patient basis available upon request

About You

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC register, with evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the service. You will hold a specialist qualification in a clinical skill such as DBT, CBT, or Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP), and be trained as a Practice Assessor or Supervisor. A minimum of three years' experience within a relevant clinical setting is essential.
