Street Services provides a highly important service to all the borough's residents and visitors from sweeping roads to collecting and emptying household and businesses waste bins. This is a vital front-line service and has a huge impact on residents and the community. This advert is for the following opportunity:

CHARGEHAND GULLY DRIVER (LGV)

Salary 30,288 - 31,611 (plus allowances 11,119)

The successful candidate will work anywhere within the Royal Borough of Greenwich, work outside in all weathers, and be able to use associated tools, mechanical aids, and equipment. You must have a full LGV drivers licence as well as CPC qualification.

The working hours are 35 hours per week, plus 6 hours contractual overtime per week, Monday to Friday with hours ranging from 6.00am to 8.00pm.

There will also be opportunities to work overtime outside of regular working hours. You will also be expected to be available for call out for which an additional payment will be made. You will also be paid for any hours worked as a result of being called out. Full training will be given. You will be dealing with members of the public and a positive approach to customer care is essential.
