Overview of role
St Clare Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative care to patients and families in West Essex and the East Hertfordshire borders.
Our Thorley shop is in a great location, close to a car park with convenient drop-off points for donations and parking. We're open seven days a week, selling clothing and our usual array of wonderful bric-a-brac. We are now recruiting an Assistant Manager for this shop, someone who can lead and manage the team, ensuring we maximise donations and meet weekly targets to raise vital income for the hospice.
We are looking for a creative retailer to work with a team of staff and volunteers in delivering exceptional customer service to our supporters, donors and customers. You will be diligent in daily compliance across health and safety in the workplace and compliance of Retail gift aid processing to maximise the income at every opportunity.
In return for your commitment, we offer a competitive salary, benefits, generous leave, pension options (including NHS continuity), life assurance, and an Employee Assistance Programme. We also provide strong development support and learning opportunities.
