As part of our clients Retail team, the post holder will be required to work alongside an existing team as well as retail volunteers. This is a hands-on role where the ability to lead and motivate a team of volunteers is essential, but equally important is a willingness to work with them on a day-to-day tasks. Regular communication with the management team will be required for the retail department to reach its full potential.
We are seeking to recruit candidates with excellent interpersonal skills as there will be frequent communication with the public and our diverse workforce. This is a fast-paced dynamic environment therefore staff are required to have good organisational skills and be able to cope well under pressure. In addition to operating the till, the post holder will be required to work in outlets coordinating new stock.
Example of duties include:
Sorting, preparing, tagging donated goods to be sold within our 4 retail locations
Providing a high standard of customer service
Operating the till
Maintaining sales floors to agreed merchandising techniques
Replenishing stock to maximise sales
Various domestic duties
