Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our teams in West Norwood.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their inquiries, loading and unloading donations, sorting stock, and ensuring the shop is well-organised and inviting. This position is ideal for an individual who possess strong customer service skills, retail, and sales skills.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner. Maintain an organised and tidy shop environment, ensuring displays are appealing. Assist with stock management, including receiving donations and restocking shelves. Process transactions accurately using the till system. Help to load and unloads goods into cars and vans. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous experience is advantageous but not essential. Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to help lift and carry furniture and other sometimes bulky items. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the shop's operating hours.
