We're recruiting two new

Shop Managers

for our brand-new Norwich shop!

Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity stores are at the heart of the charity and our community. They raise vital funds and increase public awareness of the incredible work we do.

Our Shop Managers are an integral part of our retail team, working to offer the very best to our loyal customers. Working in a charity shop isn't like other retail roles - it is far more exciting! You will be given the tools and the trust to run the shop successfully, and you will thrive in the continuing success of the store.

Our brand-new Timberhill location will feature both our much-loved traditional charity retail offering

and a specially curated boutique range

, showcasing higher-end donated items and a premium shopping experience. We are looking for motivated managers who can champion both elements of the store and help position Timberhill as a true destination for shoppers.

This store will also boast

impressive new shop windows

, offering exceptional opportunities for creative merchandising that inspires customers and showcases the very best of our stock. Strong visual merchandising will be key to drawing people in and setting the tone for an exciting shopping experience.

Some of the duties you will be responsible for include:



Supporting and inspiring the store team through effective communication, management, and planning. Consistently delivering excellent shop floor standards across both our boutique and standard retail spaces, with a strong focus on impactful visual merchandising. Ensuring the store becomes a destination for customers, donors, and volunteers by offering an elevated and engaging shopping experience. Overseeing efficient stock control and rotation of all stock, including identifying suitable items for the boutique offering. Making full use of our prominent new shop windows to create eye-catching displays that promote key themes, campaigns and seasonal ranges. Maintaining well-organised storage areas and ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines at all times. Leading the training, motivation and management of volunteers, ensuring they are confident in preparing goods, displaying and rotating stock, providing great customer service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness, and implementing all aspects of the Gift Aid scheme. Actively recruiting and encouraging volunteers within your shop and maintaining a rota to ensure shop trading hours are adequately covered. Identifying and recommending areas for improvement as the store grows and evolves.
Please note that the shop operates across four levels: retail sales space on the ground and first floors, with workspace and storage in the basement and fourth floor.

HOURS OF WORK



We are recruiting two new managers, one to work 35 hours per week across 5 days and one to work 28 hours per week across 4 days. Please note the advertised wage is reflective of the 35 hours per week role.

35 hours per week - 22,222.20 per annum.

28 hours per week - 17,777.76 per annum.

Given that the shop will operate seven days a week, a flexible approach to working hours is required, with weekend duties shared between post holders.

ABOUT YOU



Essential requirements:

Good standard of Maths and English. Strong team worker with the ability to motivate a team. Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills. Customer focused with an energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
Desirable requirements:

Experience working in Retail or Charity Retail. Experience within a management or supervisory role. Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
