Job title: Charles River Integration Specialist
We are looking for a skilled Charles River Integration Specialist for a future role to join our team. To manage the integration of the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) with internal and external systems, including trading platforms, market data providers, custodians, and enterprise middleware. The role will focus on API development, FIX connectivity, and enterprise integration using tools such as Mulesoft, Informatica, and Boomi.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead integration efforts for Charles River IMS (CRIMS) with upstream and downstream systems including OMS, trading platforms, risk systems, and market data feeds.
Design, build, and manage real-time and batch data interfaces using Charles River APIs, XML, XSLT, and middleware platforms such as Mulesoft, Informatica, and Boomi.
Implement and maintain FIX connectivity using tools such as QuickFIX, VeriFIX, and FIXSim, ensuring seamless trade communication and straight-through processing (STP).
Support integration with external data sources including Bloomberg, Reuters, and custodians.
Configure and monitor Charles River ION for trade routing and connectivity with execution management systems (EMS).
Use Postman and other API tools for testing, validation, and automation of Charles River endpoints.
Conduct data validation, transformation, and loading processes using SQL Server, SSMS, and custom ETL scripts.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations such as MiFID II and Dodd-Frank during data integration and workflow design.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather integration requirements, design solutions, and conduct UAT.
Develop dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI to monitor integration performance and data quality.
Document integration workflows, technical designs, and data mappings for audit and support purposes.
Provide L2/L3 support for integration-related incidents and enhancements in production environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience with Charles River IMS integration in asset management, wealth management, or hedge fund environments.
Hands-on experience with Charles River APIs, OMS modules, and Charles River ION.
Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, from order creation through execution, allocation, and settlement.
Proficient with FIX protocol, trade simulation, and message troubleshooting using VeriFIX, FIXSim, and QuickFIX.
Experience with middleware tools such as Informatica, Mulesoft, or Dell Boomi for enterprise integration.
Proficiency with SQL Server, SSMS, and strong SQL skills for data extraction and validation.
Experience working with XML, XSLT, and JSON for data mapping and transformation.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements including MiFID II and Dodd-Frank.
Experience using Postman or equivalent API testing tools.
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with Tableau and Power BI for monitoring integration KPIs.
