Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Charter Boat Skipper to lead our charter services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of maritime navigation, safety protocols, and customer service and fishing across areas out the South Wales coast and Bristol Channel. As a Charter Boat Skipper, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests while managing the operation of the vessel.

Responsibilities

Navigate and operate the charter boat in compliance with maritime laws and regulations. Conduct pre-departure checks to ensure all safety equipment is functional and the vessel is in good condition. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout the journey. Plan and execute itineraries that may include sightseeing, fishing, or other activities based on guest preferences. Monitor weather conditions and adjust plans accordingly to ensure safety at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vessel before, during, and after charters. Keep accurate records of trips, including guest feedback and any incidents that occur during voyages.

Requirements

Valid skipper's licence (RYA or equivalent) with relevant certifications for operating charter vessels. Proven experience as a boat skipper or in a similar role within the maritime industry. Strong knowledge of navigation techniques, safety protocols, and emergency procedures. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition to interact effectively with guests. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by charter schedules. A passion for the sea and a commitment to providing memorable experiences for guests. Pay: 150.00 per day
