NTM-GB Ltd is a dynamic and growing company, which develops, manufactures, sells and maintains Refuse and Recycling Collection Vehicles. We are looking for an experienced Chassis Electrical Engineer to be based at our Kidderminster site.
The main role is vehicle wiring so a formal qualification in auto electrics is essential along with a working knowledge of PLC, CANBUS and Solid-State Electrics.
The successful candidate will have mechanical knowledge ideally from commercial vehicles, plant hire sectors or a relatable industry. A willingness to learn and ability to work to time constraints and customers specifications is essential.
The role will involve
Supporting the Production Manager and the wider team in developing and producing a high standard of Refuse vehicles
Working in a timely manner to produce finished products to deadlines
Ability to read and edit electrical drawings so work is completed in accordance with requirements
Ability to identify faults and their root cause and provide solutions to resolve the fault.
Complete final inspections on electrical installations
Work alongside our Production and Engineering teams to develop and improve new wiring systems
Ability to address issues during a build process and record agreed actions
Actively capturing and recording wiring information to be standardised and used in future builds
Support and develop others with inhouse training and skill development
Support sub-contractors required in the production process
Whilst fulfilling the role the successful candidate will be expected to maintain good housekeeping practices and demonstrate responsibility for their personal health and safety and those around them, including risk assessing their own work to ensure safe working practices are being carried out and using Personal Protective Equipment as and when appropriate.
The ideal candidate will be professional and self-motivated with a good customer service ethos and the ability to solve problems alongside a desire to develop and learn. Communication skills are vital for this role. The ideal candidate must be confident & flexible enough to work alone and as part of a team. Good organisational skills, time management and engineering skills are also vital.
The package is dependent on experience, but will include:
Competitive Salary- negotiable based on experience (weekly paid)
Basic Hours - 39 hours a week- Monday- Thursday
