We are seeking a reliable and professional Chauffeur to provide safe and efficient transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
The role is primarily based at the Principal's country house in Hampshire, driving the Principal to and from business meetings, events etc in London and the South East., as well as running simple errands for the business. You will also be required to drive the 2 children aged 12 and 14 years old. You will also be responsible for liasing with contractors and the maintenance team for their London house and checking the house on a regular basis.
Part of the role will be driving the Principals' daughters to and from school in Guildford on a daily basis as well as taking them to their various after school activities. The successful candidate will also be required to work on saturday mornings until mid afternoon to transport the children to and from sporting matches.
You will work as part of an established team at the Principals' country residence. It is essential that you are highly flexible, organised, adaptive to changing travel plans and possess a meticulous eye for detail.
Expertise in vehicle detailing is essential. The Principals have multiple high value vehicles that you will be expected to care for and maintain to the highest standards.
During the school holidays, the timetable will be quieter and your working hours will reduce.
Household maintenance skills will also be a desirable quality for applicants to possess.
Duties to include:
Driving Principal to meetings, appointment, events etc
Running errands at the request of the Principal
Driving children to school, activities, play dates
Airport runs
Picking up shopping
Valeting and general car maintenance
Arranging MOTs
Ad hoc help around the houses
Dog walking
Duties
Drive clients to various destinations in a timely and safe manner.
Maintain the vehicle in excellent condition, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
Communicate with clients regarding pick-up times, locations, and any changes to schedules.
Assist passengers with heavy lifting of luggage or other items as required.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while ensuring passenger safety at all times.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any client inquiries or concerns during transport.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a chauffeur essential
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules.
Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns is advantageous.
Close protection experience desirable
Candidates MUST be able to commute to work within 30 minutes or to relocate.
