We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cheerleading Coach to teach our cheerleading level 1 teams on a Tuesdays from 4-8:30 and Friday evenings from 6-9:30. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cheerleading coaching and a commitment to educating and inspiring young athletes. This role involves developing cheerleading skills, promoting teamwork, and fostering a positive environment for all participants. Must have First Aid certification and DBS.
Responsibilities
Educate cheerleaders on proper techniques, routines, and safety practices.
Develop and implement training programmes that enhance skills and performance.
Plan and choreograph routines for competitions and performances.
Organise practice sessions, ensuring they are engaging and productive.
Foster a supportive team atmosphere that encourages camaraderie and sportsmanship.
Manage social media for the team.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and progress.
Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of team members, providing guidance as needed.
Attend competitions and events to support the team and ensure adherence to competition rules.
Experience
Previous experience in cheerleading is essential.
Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques, choreography, and safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
A passion for sports education and youth development.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required for practices and events.
