Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cheerleading Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating young athletes in the art of cheerleading. This role involves not only training cheerleaders in various skills and routines but also fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among the squad.

Duties

Develop and implement training programmes that enhance the cheerleading skills of team members. Educate athletes on proper techniques for stunts, jumps, and choreography. Conduct regular practice sessions, ensuring that all participants are engaged and improving. Organise and lead team-building activities to promote camaraderie and teamwork. Evaluate individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback for improvement. Prepare the squad for competitions, including choreography, routines, and performance readiness. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during practices and performances. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and progress.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in cheerleading or a related field. Strong ability to educate athletes on techniques and strategies for success. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes. Knowledge of cheerleading safety standards and injury prevention practices. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for practices and competitions. A positive attitude with a passion for youth development through sport.
