Job Overview
We are looking for a skilledChef de Partie
to take ownership of a specific section in our kitchen (e.g., Saucier, Larder, or Pastry). You will be responsible for high-standard food preparation, station management, and supporting the Head Chef in menu development. This role is ideal for a dedicated chef looking to bridge the gap between technical cooking and kitchen management.Key Responsibilities
Station Ownership:
Manage and run a designated section, ensuring all mise-en-place is prepared to specification before service.Quality Control:
Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently to the highest standards.Sustainability & Waste:
Monitor portion control and implement zero-waste practices to maintain profit margins and environmental standards.Leadership:
Supervise and mentor Commis Chefs and Demi-CDPs on your section, fostering a positive learning environment.Compliance:
Maintain a 5 EHO (Environmental Health Office) standard, adhering strictly to HACCP and allergen protocols.Creativity:
Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily specials and seasonal menu development.Requirements & Skills
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a CDP or 2+ years as a Demi-CDP in a high-volume or fresh-food environment.Technical Excellence:
Expert knowledge of cooking techniques specific to your station.Qualifications:
Food Safety Level 2Attributes:
Strong time management, ability to lead under pressure, and a team-first mindset.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
