Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to organisational standards
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, freshness, and presentation of all menu items
Manage food safety procedures, including hygiene practices and proper storage of ingredients
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and minimise waste
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations
Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge
Qualifications
Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant setting
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Experience in food production, team management, and hospitality operations
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
A passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
