Chef & Bar and Catering Manager
to take a leading role in running our catering and bar operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Catering:
Plan, create, and deliver high-quality menus for both day-to-day service and a variety of club events.
Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, hygiene, stock control, and cost management.
Deliver a consistent and enjoyable dining experience for members, guests, and visiting sailors.
Bar & Club Management:
Manage bar operations, including arranging and supervising shifts to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Oversee stock control, cellar management, and supplier relationships.
Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Play a key role in supporting the club's social events and regattas, working with staff and volunteers to create a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
An experienced chef, confident in menu creation and delivering food to a high standard.
Organised and proactive, with experience managing stock, budgets, and suppliers.
Capable of leading a small team and arranging bar shifts effectively.
Interested in helping shape the strategy of the club's food and bar offering.
Customer-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to work flexibly to support club events (including evenings and weekends).
Enthusiastic about being part of a community-focused club environment.
What We Offer

Competitive salary 16-18 per hour depending on experience.
Discretionary bonus worth up to 10% of salary, based on KPIs to be agreed with the Committee
30 hours per week, normally Wednesday to Sunday, depending on events and summer regattas
28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays).
