Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive work environment. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols. Monitor food quality during preparation and service, making adjustments as necessary.

Skills

Proven experience in supervising a kitchen team and managing food production processes. Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Solid understanding of food safety practices and regulations within the hospitality industry. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail in both food preparation and service delivery. Passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
