Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring dishes meet established quality standards
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
Train and mentor junior staff to develop their culinary skills and promote teamwork
Collaborate with management to plan special events or menu changes
Monitor food presentation to ensure consistency and visual appeal
Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and leadership within the team
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on high-quality service
Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire confidence among team members
Competence in managing multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operation
Ability to innovate creatively while maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation
