We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive kitchen experience and a strong background in food production and preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that reflect our commitment to quality and hospitality. You will lead a team of kitchen staff, ensuring that all food safety standards are met while fostering an environment of creativity and collaboration.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of performance. Develop new recipes and menus that align with our culinary vision. Ensure all food is prepared according to safety and hygiene regulations. Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and restaurant policies. Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain the restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a Chef role or similar position within a restaurant environment. Strong culinary skills with a passion for cooking and food presentation. Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on teamwork. Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable. A culinary qualification or relevant training is advantageous but not essential.
