Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team at The Bethany House Group. Based in our 37 Bed Nursing Home, Bethshan. You will play a vital role in preparing nutritious and delicious meals that enhance the well-being of our residents. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a caring community dedicated to excellence.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of residents.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including food stock control and cleanliness.
Supervise kitchen staff and support team members to maintain high-quality service.
Collaborate with care staff to plan menus that promote health and well-being.
Maintain accurate records of food preparation and safety procedures.
Support the training of new kitchen staff to uphold standards.
Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere through excellent hospitality.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef, preferably within healthcare or residential settings.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse menus.
Leadership qualities with experience supervising kitchen teams.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
Flexibility to adapt menus based on residents' dietary requirements.
Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable.
