Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, with a focus on food safety and preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, managing kitchen operations, and supervising kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food production and service.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to in the kitchen. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new menu items and specials. Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Monitor food production processes to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a Care Home environment. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead kitchen staff. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.

Pay: 13.60 per hour
