Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food quality.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of orders in a fast-paced environment.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations.
Enforce strict food safety and hygiene regulations in accordance with legal requirements.
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment centred on continuous improvement.
Collaborate with management to develop new menus, recipes, and specials that align with brand identity.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and operated safely at all times.
Provide excellent service by supporting front-of-house staff during busy periods when required.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality setting.
Supervising experience with a track record of leading successful culinary teams.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, motivate staff, and foster a positive working environment.
Skilled in menu development, food presentation, and innovative culinary techniques.
Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
